In Alberta, civil ceremonies are performed by marriage commissioners who are authorized through a Ministerial appointment. This means they are officially designated by the government to ensure your ceremony is legally recognized and beautifully executed.
Since 2009, I have had the privilege of legally performing weddings and have officiated over 2000 ceremonies. I recognize the significance of couples taking this important step and am committed to being your ideal marriage commissioner.
With my experience as a marriage commissioner, I can assist you in understanding the necessary preparations and streamline the entire process to make your special day seamless and memorable.

To begin our journey to your ceremony,
I will email to you:
- A contract with the time, date, and location of your ceremony and my total fee
- A questionnaire (PDF form) to be completed by you so I have as much information as possible about your ceremony
- A template of a wedding ceremony that you can use all of, part of, or not at all — the legal portions that are necessary to satisfy the Province of Alberta are noted. You may add personal vows, a religious element, a humorous element or added segments like a sand ceremony, unity candle ceremony, wine box ceremony etc.
